If only it was a coupe, I would gladly exchange it with my Miata and use the rest of the money to fix whatever needs to be fixed.

It's a two-door hatch. It's better than the coupe. Do it. Those are classics. Saw a sedan from about that year (manual, no less) the other day that rocked me back on my heels. Ur-Hondas, magnificent machines.

Damn, $1600? And only two or so hours away? If the insurance wouldn't kick me in the nuts, I'd be game.

It's just that my father used to have a 88 coupe. I loved the bloody thing. I'm not too keen on hatchbacks but I've sent an email about it.

Does look like a very NP. Always loved that Accord hatch bodystyle, and 80's Honda's are awesomesauce.
But the reason you don't see many 80's Honda's on the road is, well, you know why.
The car looks very mint, and the seller claims he's owned it since new, but notes that the body is starting to show some signs of rust. If the rust is just "starting" to show after, presumably, many years of Canadian winters (Quebec uses road salt), then that's not bad, but it's possible a future owner may fight a losing battle with rust demons, unless its a summer only car or imported to snow-free climes.

oh that explains it. Still it shouldn't be that expensive...imo.

If I do buy it, it's gonna be a summer car only since I got a DD...the only issue I have is that am only buying it for sentimental reasons. I just don't know if it right to switch from a rwd convertible that I love for summer to this.
